Micah is an animator and filmmaker living in Los Angeles. His work often uses science fiction and cartoonish elements to excavate the human experience. Addressing celebrity-ism, vanity and neo-capitalism, he enjoys pushing strong narrative and authentic characters towards emotional consequences.
He studied comics and illustration at LUCA School for the Arts in Brussels, Belgium and received an MFA in writing for TV and film at Emerson College. He’s published comic books in Europe and the US (‘ASSHOLES’ and ‘SAUCE DADDY’, both of which won a €20k publishing grant from the Flemish Literature Fund respectively). He’s also produced shorts for Adult Swim (‘SOLO’ and ‘A Night at the Orca-Stra’). His live-action horror short “this here dark” is releasing in late 2023. When he’s not making movies, he enjoys drawing, reviewing diners and cooking.
