After watching the excellent but somewhat maundering animated series The Maxxx, I decided to try out another more popular series from that great, old school block of programming: MTV’s 90s animated line up.
Aeon Flux is pretty amazing. The animation style feels very surreal and majestic. Although the full length episodes are good, what really blows me away are the animated shorts that preceded them. The stories are so inventive; each is about 3-4 minutes long (perfect for today’s internet ADD generation) and showcases some amazing storytelling techniques. If you like Moebius comics, I highly suggest watching it.
